Barbara Schmidt-Bailey, 2017-Present

Barbara Schmidt-Bailey, MA, has worked in finance for 20+ years as a client development and sales executive in the U.S. and Germany. Barbara is a Chicago native who received a BA in International Affairs from Macalester College and an MA from the University of Chicago in International Relations. Barbara has spent seven years abroad, two years studying in Germany and five additional years working there. Barbara joined Net Impact Chicago after a sustainability group at work sparked renewed personal interest in environmentalism and playing a more active role in the Chicago community. Within the impact space, Barbara is specifically interested in the environment and women's rights.



Nurul Eusufzai, 2017-Present

Nurul Eusufzai is a Net Impact Lifetime member who has extensive experience in the private sector and a growing interest in the environmental, economic, and human dimensions of sustainability and regeneration. Nurul is currently a consultant with an engineering background and the scope of his work includes business transformation, program and project management, digital and physical service design, and quality/technology/data analysis. Nurul's development activity includes work for the Illinois Task Force on Social Innovation, the Chicago Sustainability Leaders' Network, and various Syracuse University Alumni organizations. His business experience includes stints at GE, Bank of America, startup and professional services firms in the US and Europe. Nurul looks forward to convening diverse and inclusive groups to understand/address our challenges and have fun in the process!



Ben Hwang, 2018-Present

Ben Hwang is a management consultant with over +10 years of experience working with S&P 100 companies, emerging start-ups, and non-profits working collaboratively with clients to solve for complex business challenges and create tactical solutions to fit each client’s needs. His areas of focus are around Strategy and Operations (Marketing through Supply Chain) across a wide range of industries ranging from CPG, retail, high tech, and healthcare and has global experience working in countries including those within Asia, Europe, and South America.  Ben is passionate about the healthcare industry and its impact to consumers, communities, and the country while also interested in driving conversations around sustainability, conscious capitalism, and corporate social responsibility.



Claire Kaufman, 2018-Present

Claire is honored to be a member of the Net Impact Chicago Leadership Team. She was previously on the Net Impact San Francisco Professional Chapter Leadership Team prior to moving to Chicago. Claire has worked in the non profit sector for over nine years and currently works in development at the Art Institute of Chicago, working with donors in the public and private sector to help them find effective ways to support the Art Institute. Previously, she was the Continuing Education Director and the Project Manager at A Home Within in San Francisco, which provides pro-bono psychotherapy to foster youth around the nation. Claire was also National Campus Coordinator at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where she helped college students around the nation plan successful suicide prevention walks. Claire graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a B.A. in Nonprofit Management and Communications

  


Casey Marcus, 2018-Present

Casey has spent the past 10 years within the consumer packaged goods industry across both sales management and brand marketing functions. A Texas native, she received her BBA from The University of Texas and her MBA from Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. She is fascinated by the intersection of health, nutrition, environmental sustainability & corporate social responsibility within the retail and CPG industries and enjoys connecting with like-minded individuals.


Anna Carvlin | Social Media

Anna Carvlin was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and grew up mostly in the south suburbs of Chicago. She earned a Bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in gender studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a Master's in international public health from Tulane. During a two-year assignment with the Peace Corps, she served as a community health educator in Togo, West Africa. Currently, she teaches yoga and Pilates, and works in the area of public health and nonprofit resource development, and is passionate about global sustainability issues.
