ONE EARTH FILM FESTIVAL


The 11th annual One Earth Film Festival is taking place on March 4-13, 2022. It is the Midwest’s premier environmental film festival, focusing this year on turning the tide on climate change and environmental racism. There are 17 virtual watch parties screening nationally and internationally, and up to 15 in-person events in the Chicago area. Each watch party includes expert panel discussion that will equip you with ways to take action on the world’s most pressing environmental problems.

Film Description: With 2021 marked as the fifth hottest year on record, Life at 50 Degrees reveals how extreme temperatures around the world are wreaking havoc on nature, forcing climate migration, causing water shortages and triggering dangerous health conditions. By following people in seven countries, the film reveals the resourcefulness and resilience of many communities as they struggle to adapt and survive.

    EARTH HOUR 2022


    Earth Hour is March 26, 2022 at 8:30pm! Started by WWF and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now one of the world's largest grassroots movements for the environment. Held every year on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 190 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet. 


    Take part by simply switching off your lights, or check out the Earth Hour website for more ways to get involved!
