We are starting a series that will highlight our Net Impact Chicago members and the wonderful work they do both professionally and in their free time. We are kicking off this series with Yuliya Grygoryeva!
Q:Where are you from / how long have you been in chicago?
A: Originally from Ukraine, but I’ve been living in Chicago for 23 years and love it!
Q: Tell us about your professional background?
A: Elevate Packaging. Our mission is to enrich the soil and reduce landfill waste by offering our customers fully compostable packaging and label solutions. We specifically design our packaging with the end of life in mind.
Q: What made you interested in joining Net Impact?
A:I wanted to be a part of a community of like minded people who are passionate about driving positive change through sustainable business practices.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I love to get outside! I enjoy going for long urban hikes while listening to my favorite podcasts.

Tue. March 21 Chicago Women Take Action Talk w/ IL Environmental Council’s (IEC) Iyana Simba.
Connect the dots with the Climate Change and Environmental Justice and the Health Committees for an in-person briefing on how environmental policy impacts our quality of life. Increasing the use of clean energy and improving air quality creates jobs and improves our health.
Guest Iyana Simba of the Illinois Environmental Council will present and take questions on major Chicago environmental legislation, and ways people can engage their aldermen and other elected officials.
The event is hosted by Chicago Women Take Action’s Climate Change & Environmental Justice and Health Committees. A healthy environmen is vital. It's also vital to examine how pollution and climate change on health andwell-being are unequal - disproportionately affecting economically disadvantaged communities, especially those of color.
