Net Impact Chicago Newsletter/Blog: Year 2022 In Review!
Greetings from Net Impact Chicago (NIC)! The holiday season is always a busy one, but we hope that everyone gets some time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy looking back on 2022. Before we know it 2023 will be here!
We would also like to extend a special welcome to NIC's new and returning members. Thank you for your involvement and support of the chapter!
NIC's YEAR IN REVIEW: 2022
2022 was another fun and eventful year for Net Impact Chicago! Here are some of our highlights:
In March, we attended the One Earth Film Festival (virtually!) and participated in a discussion afterwards. The film, "Life at 50 Degrees," provided thought-provoking perspectives on the effects of the climate crisis.
In April, we joined students and professionals at the University of Chicago Social Impact Summit. The event featured leaders from many different fields including healthcare, consulting, food/agriculture, and tech.
Also in April, we teamed up with Friends of the Parks for an Earth Day Park Cleanup. Giving back to our community parks ensures they will remain clean, accessible, and available to all.
In June, we held a Net Impact Chicago Networking Brunch at Offshore Rooftop at Navy Pier. All attendees enjoyed the nice weather and good company!
We finished off the summer in August with a Park Walk at Garfield Park with Equiticity. Exploring the park and learning some of its history was a lovely way to spend a late-summer Sunday.
In September, we partnered with GreenDrinks Chicago to host a Fall Networking Social at the TimeOut Chicago Market. The turnout was great and we will likely make this an annual event!
Thank you so much to all members, friends, and supporters who attended Net Impact Chicago events throughout the year. We are looking forward to more new and exciting events in 2023!

We are pleased to announce that Ariana Oberhelman has joined the Net Impact Chicago leadership team! She will serve as the Social Media Chair, so make sure you're following our social channels to see what she posts!
Ariana recently completed her Masters degree in Public Health specifically focusing on Environmental Systems and Human Health. She enjoys traveling, home projects, and spending time with family.
