This is an open invitation to our community  join us on February 24th for our first Thinkathon!

The premise is simple: we want to foster good conversation and engage you in shaping the future of the Net Impact Chicago professional chapter. We recognize that our scope is broad  we're a group of socially minded professionals that seek to leverage business as a force for social and environmental good. With your help, we want to have an open discussion about how we build a meaningful and connected community in Chicago that aligns with our purpose.

To help us get there, we're inviting leaders and change makers in the social impact and environmental sustainability movements to facilitate breakout sessions around relevant topics. So far, we are pleased to have Thea Polancic of Conscious Capitalism Chicago and Nancy Goldstein of the B Corps community on board. We are lining up more facilitators in the coming week, and we'll let you know more about the evolving topics for discussion!

Light refreshments will be served. If you haven't been to DIRTT yet, it's awesome and we're thrilled to be able to host this special event there (read more here).

What's a Thinkathon?

A Thinkathon is a way to work with a group of diverse people in the process of solution creation. It's a way to generate and capture ideas in a short period of time that fosters active participation from all group members (introverts included!).

You can read more about the Thinkathon approach in a blogpost by Ideaction Corps here.
